What Trump supporters actually think Trump will do in the Oval Office

How far are Trump supporters willing to go to support their candidate? Apparently, very far.

Data already show most Americans don’t believe Donald Trump will follow through on any of his promises. Only 13% say they trust Trump to keep his campaign promises; 78% don’t believe his signature mission to build a wall that is financed by Mexico. Many Trump supporters don’t buy into Trump’s grand designs- and they don’t seem to care.

New polling suggests something quite the opposite: voters now think Trump will execute some of his craziest ideas in office, and they seem to be fine with it.

What are some of these things Trump backers think he will do in office? In a SurveyMonkey Poll, half of respondents say Trump would detonate a nuclear bomb during his time in office. A nuclear bomb! They seem to be fine with allowing someone to handle a weapon that could kill millions, even though he doesn’t know what a nuclear triad is- or any basic facts about foreign policy for that matter.

Nearly half of those in the survey-48 percent- say he’ll create a database to track Muslims; about one-third said he will incite race riots, that the government will default on its debt, and that he would punish his political opponents and authorize internment camps for illegal immigrants.

Many Trump supporters won’t abandon him, even if he threatens nuclear catastrophe or reinstates internment camps. Trump knows this, saying earlier this year that he could get away with “shoot[ing] someone and I wouldn’t lose voters.”

Sad!
